Kathleen Connelly

Therapist

Kathleen Connelly, MA, LPC has over a decade of experience working in the field of mental health. Her focus and passion remain in helping people recover from eating disorders, anxiety, depression, self-injurious behaviors and trauma. Kathleen has worked with these populations in both the residential and outpatient settings.

Kathleen utilizes an approach that views eating disorder recovery journey as an opportunity to redefine oneself while discovering a variety of adaptive communication and coping skills that can eventually take the place of those the eating disorder behaviors once influenced.

Kathleen enjoys working with pre-teens, adolescents and adults. She combines Narrative therapy with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and has completed training in EMDR. Kathleen feels invested in these modalities as they have been shown through research to be effective for a broad range of issues.

Kathleen provides HAES (Health at Every Size) and LGBTQ+ affirming care and is dedicated to supporting the queer community. She has experience working with people in differing stages of gender identity and sexuality, and strives to create a warm, welcoming place for all clients.

Kathleen strives to support her clients in identifying their own recovery path, whether that means developing and applying coping skills, processing lived experiences, or finding meaning during life’s many transitions. She is compassionate and creative in her work, and inspired by her clients’ courage and determination to make changes in their lives.

In her spare time, Kathleen enjoys spending time with family, creating art (especially pottery), baking, and traveling to new places. Both Kathleen’s car and one of her dog’s got their names from Talyor Swift songs.
