Bardwell Behavioral was founded in 2021 in response to a growing need for accessible, specialized outpatient mental health care. What began as a solo practice quickly evolved into a multidisciplinary group dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based treatment for individuals, couples, and families.

Founder Rebekah “Bekah” Bardwell Doweyko brings more than two decades of experience in the behavioral health field. As both a clinician and leader, she has worked across every level of care, including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient treatment. A Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Approved Supervisor, Bekah has dedicated much of her career to expanding access to high-quality eating disorder care throughout New England. She helped develop and continues to oversee Vermont’s only eating disorder PHP and IOP and serves as the Eating Disorder Consultant to the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS).

While specialized eating disorder treatment remains at the heart of our work, Bardwell Behavioral provides comprehensive mental health services for a wide range of concerns, including trauma, OCD, anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance use disorders, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
