Micah Mellow

Micah is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) working toward full licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). They hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bay Path University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Connecticut. 

 

Micah brings a strong clinical foundation and diverse experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across multiple levels of care. They are particularly passionate about supporting individuals with eating disorders, as well as LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent clients. Micah also has experience treating anxiety, depression, and helping clients navigate complex life transitions.

Clinically, Micah has worked in outpatient, school, and higher-acuity treatment settings. Their background includes providing individual therapy, facilitating therapeutic and psychoeducational groups, conducting intake and diagnostic assessments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary treatment teams. Micah has specific experience in eating disorder treatment, including meal support and group facilitation, as well as work with families and caregivers through parenting education and systems-informed care.

Micah’s therapeutic approach is grounded in person-centered, affirming, and collaborative care. They strive to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to explore all aspects of themselves and their experiences. Micah partners with clients to identify areas for growth and supports meaningful, values-driven change that aligns with each client’s goals.

Micah practices under the supervision of Rebekah Bardwell Doweyko, LPC, LMHC, LCMHC, CEDS-C.
